hello Nad, voici une bonne nouvelle pour les copines anglaises, info transmise par les MCC de là-bas, donc c'est en anglais et aux couleurs des tenues de la Queen Elizabeth (possibilité de changer son certificat de naissance !). La MCC a fait pression dans ce sens auprès du parlement. Voilà qui j'espère pourra se faire aussi ici : tout est possible à celui/celle qui croit, donc, croyons et fonçons !

MCC QUOTED IN BRITISH PARLIAMENT

MCC Manchester has been actively campaigning in support of the British Government’s bill, which will allow transgendered people to change their birth certificate. Parts of their campaign letter to a local Member of Parliament were quoted by him in the Houses of Parliament during a debate on the bill. Every word that is said during the debate is recorded in a document called Hansard. All the quotes from MCC Manchester are now recorded as a public document, which form part of the history of democracy in the UK..



Hansard records the words of the MP Mr Woodward, who says

“During the debate a lot has been said about the Church. It is important to put on record comments by groups such as the Metropolitan Community Church of Manchester that wrote to the Joint Committee on Human Rights. It said how much it supports the Bill, which it does not regard as aberrant, wrong or nonsense. A particular member of that Christian community told the Committee:



"On behalf of the Metropolitan Community Church of Manchester I am writing to indicate our broad support for the bill. This reform is long overdue and will be warmly welcomed by our members . . . Many of our members are transgendered and we know how difficult the current legal situation is for people with gender dysphoria. The introduction of this bill by the Government helps to rectify injustice and is very good news and long overdue.
